TEN THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE YOUR Pet
By Dr. Karen Halligan

Having worked in emergency for many years, I have seen their pets to have all sorts of foods and beverages. But if you are not particularly healthy for you, you will not be good for your dog or cat. Some pets will eat almost anything they find, so owners need to be careful if you do not want to end up in emergency room. The following are 10 things you should not give your pet.

1. NO LE DES BONES, ˇbones are bad for animals! Every year countless numbers of animals end up in the emergency room because their owners have given them bones, usually as a reward. The fact is that dogs are omnivores, not carnívotos, and many dogs and cats can not tolerate bones. The bones can pass through or stay stuck in the intestinal tract with disastrous results, which often require surgery. They are also can be choking on the mouth or trachea, which is also dangerous. All bones are bad, including pork, chicken and beef. The next time you want to give your dog a bone, make sure it is a bone of milk or prepared for dogs. Your dog will be grateful.

2. CHOCOLATE can be lethal to pets because it contains theobromine, which causes an increase in heart rate, central nervous system stimulation and constriction of the arteries. Clinical symptoms range from vomiting, diarrhea, hyperactivity, and excitability to cardiac failure, stroke and death. This can happen as fast as 4 to 6 hours after ingestion. Cooking chocolate is the worst because it contains higher amounts of theobromine. A potentially lethal dose is only 1 pound of chocolate for a dog of 16 pounds. If your pet has eaten much chocolate, you should contact your veterinarian immediately.

3. ALCOHOL IS ALSO VERY BAD FOR DOGS AND CATS.
It does not take much alcohol to poison a pet. The animals will be nervous and attack things, hiriéndose themselves, and also cause urinary incontinence. In high doses, alcohol suppresses the central nervous system and respiratory and cardiac systems and can lead to death. It is best to give water to your pet.

4. MILK IS NOT GOOD FOR ANIMALS because most are lactose intolerant and will develop diarrhea. The animals also tend to lack the enzyme that is required to dissolve the sugar in milk, and this can cause to develop vomiting, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms. Even if you think they like, especially cats, do not give them milk.

5. Ham and other salted meat are very dangerous for pets. Besides being high in fat, are also very salty which can cause serious stomach or pancreatitis. Also, many breeds of dogs that eat salty food may drink too much water and develop a chronic condition called Bloat. " This is when the stomach fills with gas and within hours it can worsen, causing the animal could die. Please do not give him ham and salty foods to your pet.

6. Onion is toxic to dogs and cats. Disulfid containing, damaging the red blood cells in your blood and can cause fatal consequences in animals. Can become anemic, weak, and breathing problems. The best thing you can do if your pet has eaten onions is taken to the vet immediately.

7. THE CAFFEINE IS ALSO BAD FOR THE ANIMALS. Contains xanthina that, like chocolate, stimulates the central nervous system and cardiac system and within hours can cause vomiting, hyperactivity, tachycardia and even death. Make sure your pets are away from the breakfast.

8. Avocados are also bad for pets. First, they are very high in fat and can cause stomach pains, vomiting and even pancreatitis. Second, the pulp is also toxic and can be
stuck in the intestinal tract and can lead to a severe blockage, which may require surgery.

9. HOW COULD SURPRISE LLEGARTE that tuna is bad for cats. The feline heart muscle requires an amino acid called taurine to maintain normal strength and function. Tuna normal human
contains this amino acid and cats that eat too much tuna fish will develop heart problems. If you want to give the cats love the taste of that love, just make sure it is tuna fish for cats, the one who has the amino acid added.

10. Recent studies have found that raisins and grapes can lead to kidney failure in pets. Small dogs can react badly with grapes so it is best to make sure our animals eat a well balanced diet that is formulated for your stage of life.
